Established in November, 1991, the initial main scope of operation of the Fixed Income Department included Fixed Income’s outright purchase and sell with resell and repurchase. As a result of the starting stage of the Fixed Income secondary market in Taiwan at the beginning stage of our establishment, we experienced difficult development and operation. Under the guidance of several managers, the Fixed Income Department has grown from the initial transaction amount at NT 50 million to the present scale of billions of dollars.
Targeting at the development of fix income derivative products, we reorganize our organization in a timely manner to become a competitive team; allocate human resources actively to increase contribution margin; implement risk management mechanism to lower possible loss in order to respond to the rapid development and change of the financial market. The Fixed Income Department actively plays the role of the quotation
provider of corporate bonds, government bonds, convertible bonds and bond futures dealings. We also offer domestic and foreign RA, RS and Fixed Income investment consultation services; assist our clients making appropriate financial planning in order to build a solid source of clients.
As the local Fixed Income market flourishes, our Fixed Income Department also actively develops services of OTC Fixed Income trading. Our devotions are shown through long-term Fixed Income trading, NTD interest exchanges, convertible bonds and bonds futures dealings. We also include Fixed Income investment consultation services as part of our department brokerage expansion. At the moment, our department is applying for the license to function as both a securities firm and a broker; Because of regulator is opening up to become more and more liberalize and international on its policy. In the future, Concord's Fixed Income department will be more concentrate and devote to the interest rate derivative instrument innovation and the development of the Fixed Income market related services. Hence, we also actively developing interest rate related products business as we head towards the goal of business diversification.
